# TheDraftDay

> NBA fantasy basketball hub at https://thedraftday.com: a live injury feed, projected starting lineups for all 30 NBA teams, and a live fantasy draft tool (auction or serpentine, 9-category or points). All data is also available as read-only JSON with no API key.

The web pages are a JavaScript app. Agents should use the JSON API below instead of scraping the pages. Responses are cached for 30-300 seconds; the underlying data refreshes every 5 minutes (injuries) to 30 minutes (lineups, box scores) during the season.

- [Teams](https://thedraftday.com/api/teams): for each team, a projected starting five, the next three subs, and who is out. When a starter is OUT the next man up is promoted and `replaces` names the injured starter. Query: `team`
- [Players](https://thedraftday.com/api/players?search=jokic): projections (per game), current status, "hot" trend flag, 9-category value rank and a default auction value. Query: `search`, `team`, `status`, `limit`

## Notes

- Status values: OUT_SEASON = out for the season; DAY_TO_DAY is ESPN's game-time-decision bucket.
- Lineups are derived from recent starts (or projected minutes before the season), not confirmed by teams.
- Source data comes from public ESPN endpoints (unofficial). Not affiliated with the NBA or ESPN.
